YCA Launches SAR100-2.0: Empowering Women Engineers to Lead South Asia’s Energy Future

December 16, 2024 — The Yunus Center at the Asian Institute of Technology (YCA) has officially launched SAR100-2.0, a professional development program designed to empower 100 mid-career women engineers from South Asia to lead in the rapidly evolving energy sector. Building on the impact of the initial SAR100 program that addresses critical challenges in energy transition while fostering gender-inclusive leadership in the region.

"Strategic Human Resource Management and Leadership for Business Transformation",

tailored for government officials from Bangladesh Bank.

This intensive week-long program offered participants a platform for learning and innovation from 25 to 29 November 2024.

The 6th SocialTech Summit & International Conference on Healthcare, SDGs and Social Business

Prof. Faiz Shah, Director of the Yunus Center at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), will be serving as the Session Chair for the conference. This session aims to inspire collaboration among educational institutions to adopt and expand the Digital Health Campus Model, ultimately improving healthcare systems and patient care in developing countries.

World Study Program in Thailand
7-14 September 2024

Students from

Kanto Gakuin University

in Japan participated in the “World Study Program” at the Yunus Center AIT in Thailand. This enriching week-long program exposed the students to various cultural, educational, and

community service activities, providing them with hands-on learning experiences and valuable insights into social responsibility and global citizenship.

Nepal Infrastructure Summit 2024: Advancing Sustainable Development through Strategic Investment

On September 12-13, 2024, the Yunus Center AIT team participated in the Nepal Infrastructure Summit 2024 in Kathmandu, where over 300 global experts gathered to explore sustainable infrastructure development, focusing on energy, transportation, and urban growth.

Health and Social Business: Pioneering Sustainable Futures Hosted by Yunus Centre AIT (YCA) – Social Business Day 2 Session

On June 27–28, 2024, the session on "Health and Social Business: Innovations for a Sustainable Future" was a compelling exploration of how social business can drive positive change in the health sector by Yunus Center AIT (YCA). On June 25-26, 2024, Yunus Center AIT (YCA) displayed an exhibition booth on the AIU campus during SDGs x 3ZEROS conference.
